Meditation

In difficult moments, in the now, with this breath — meditation teaches us how to stay.

When we practice together, I’ll guide you through simple mindfulness tools and meditation techniques that reconnect you with the one thing that will always mark the present: the breath.

Each time you return to the breath, you begin to retrain your mind — learning not to be swept away by thought, emotion, or sensation. You start creating a spaciousness within yourself, a calm refuge. A place to rest, to soften, to come home to your heart and rediscover your natural balance.

With continued practice, that sense of calm doesn’t just stay on the cushion — it begins to flow into your days. You may notice yourself feeling less reactive, more grounded, more intuitive.

Stress and anxiety — often rooted in thoughts of the future or past — begin to loosen their grip. In the present moment, there’s simply less to fear. Really.

Group Meditation Instruction

In these sessions, I offer step-by-step instruction in meditation practice, through teaching with live guided sits. These can be tailored to corporate settings as well as a variety of retreats or workshops. We can work together to create a curriculum that best suits the needs of the participants with clear instruction, space for practice, and time for questions, so the group can learn together in a structured, supportive environment.

Leila has been my meditation teacher for about three and a half years. I’ve suffered from chatter brain for most of my life and Leila has been very helpful in teaching me how to meditate. On my own I am somewhat successful in slowing down my own very active brain but find when she leads me into meditation with her calming voice and her knowledge of how to relax my body, I am able to go into a much deeper meditative state, which I really appreciate. Not only is Leila a great teacher but I have found her to be very wise. She has helped me through several difficult times in the past few years and has become a good friend.

Leila, with her wise and gentle manner, is guiding me as I try to incorporate meditation into my life at a very challenging time. I began with very limited tools to quiet my mind. Leila continues to share many ways for me to find peace and clarity in my life. What she shares with me, and being with me as I try implement a new way of moving forward, is proving to be an important lifeline for me. I would be tangled up and sinking lower without her in my life.
